I really like using highly figured wood in my projects, whether turned pens or larger projects like small pieces of furniture. I have also been experimenting with casting polyresin blanks for pens, trying out unique color combos.
I find pens give you a unique opportunity to create from woods and materials you would never see used for anything else. Who knew you could make a pen from a pinecone or a corncob?
